Mumbai Indians Confirm Sachin Tendulkar Fit For IPL 2012

Mumbai Indians have played down reports about Sachin Tendulkar missing the 2012 Indian Premier League due to injury, confirming that he will be available for the whole tournament.

The 2010 runners-up issued a statement confirming that Tendulkar would not be skipping the tournament due to a toe injury.

"Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar will be joining the in-progress camp at Wankhede Stadium from 31st March 2012 and is fully available for the entire IPL season 5," a statement from the Mumbai Indians read.

"Sachin is in UK to consult his doctor and will be back in India to join the camp from 31st March."

Tendulkar recently became the first player to score 100 international hundreds with a century in the Asia Cup against Bangladesh.

He has led the Mumbai Indians in all four seasons of the IPL, although missed a large chunk of the opening season due to injury.
