Torino Winter Olympic Champions And Medalists - Feb. 26, 2006 (final day)

Everybody expected the Czechs and the Canadians playing for the men's hockey gold, but instead it was all-Nordic final. The best Sweden’s players did deliver and helped immensely their team to win the tournament. In the final game, Sweden won 3-2 over its arch-rival - Finland and got well deserved gold medal. Surprisingly, Swedish hockey program became the best in the world, as their men won the gold and women won the silver.

The last day of the Games eneded nicely for the host country. In cross-country skiing - 50K free mass start Giorgio di Centa of Italy won gold medal.
