Malcolm Subban earned his first career win, and Alex Tuch and Vadim Shipachyov scored their first NHL goals in Vegas’ 3-1 win against Boston.

Tuch opened the scoring in the first period, then helped Vadim Shipachyov bury his first NHL goal which proved to be the winner. Tuch, playing in his seventh NHL game, is a former first-round pick of the Minnesota Wild,14th overall in 2014. This kid put up solid numbers in the NCAA and AHL and should develop into a star for Sin City.

Coming into the game, all eyes were on 23-year-old goaltender Malcolm Subban as he made his Golden Knights debut in place of Marc-Andre Fleury, who was placed on injured reserve earlier in the day.

Subban was 30 seconds away from posting a shutout, against the team that drafted him #24 overall in 2012. Talk about a statement game.

With this victory, these Vegas Golden Knights became only the third NHL franchise to record four wins in its first five games, joining Montreal (1917-18) and the New York Rangers (1926-27). Not a bad way to impress the NHL family.
