Julius Indongo Confident Ahead of Terrence Crawford Fight

Undefeated unified WBA/IBF/IBO Super lightweight champion  Julius "Blue Machine" Indongo (22-0,11) of Namibia is confident ahead of his fight against WBC/WBO Super lightweight champion Terrence "Bud" Crawford (31-0,22) on August 19 at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln Nebraska.

Indongo doesn't care that he’s going to be walking into Crawford’s hometown despite of being underdog when he faces him next month.

”I’m under no pressure at all,” Indongo said to skysports.com. ”I’m going to Nebraska, USA, to wrestle those titles away from Crawford and it does not bother me that I’m going into his own backyard.”

"We have a strategy and perfect game plan for Crawford, so I’m really not concerned with what my opponent has in store for me or the pressure of fighting in the States.”

Indongo challenged for his first world titles against IBF and IBO light-welterweight champion Eduard Troyanovsky on December 3, 2016, in his first bout held outside Namibia. Despite being a favoured underdog, Indongo knocked out Troyanovsky after only forty seconds of the first round with a left hook, becoming Namibia's fourth world boxing champion.

Indongo then challenged WBA champion Ricky Burns in a unification bout on April 15, 2017. Indongo dominated the bout before winning via unanimous decision. With the victory, he unified the three world titles , the WBA, IBF, IBO title and became the first Namibian boxer to unify world titles.
