World Cup- Monday featured games from group E and F. The Netherlands shut down Denmark, Japan pulled an upset against Cameroon and Italy tied Paraguay in a shocker. The most entertaining game of the day was Paraguay against Italy. The game started with the rain soaking the field. Italy did what most people predicted and controlled the field early. Italy had one defensive lapse and Paraguay grabbed a goal of it shocking the soccer nation. As the game went on many people were wondering if Italy actually had what it takes to keep Paraguay from getting this huge upset. In the 63rd minute Italy showed life scoring a goal. The rest of the game was Italy trying shot after shot to win the game but Paraguay held on for the draw. On Tuesday the world cup features a game in group F and 2 games from the so called group of death, group G. Early Tuesday Slovakia faced New Zealand in a thriller. Mlb- There was 4 Games in the Mlb Monday night, all of which were blow-outs. The Brewers
destroyed the Angels after they hit a grand slam in the 3rd to carry them on, The cardinals stomped the Mariners, Giants killed the Orioles, and Blue Jays beat the Padres after an earthquake shook the stadium in the 8th inning. The league goes back to 15 games on Tuesday and back to Inter league play. The Dodgers face the Red hot Reds in Cincinnati, The Rays look to get back to their winning ways against the Braves, the Rangers face off against the Marlins in a good pitching match up and the Athletics battle the Cubs in Chicago.

- In other Nba news, The Atlanta Hawks name their new Head coach as Larry Drew. Drew has been working for Atlanta as a long time assistant to the team. Dwyane Wade made a statement Monday saying, instead of looking for a franchise that fits him come free agency month, he will look for a player to join him in Miami. Also The question of Izzo coaching the cavs is still up in the air.
College Football- The College Football Expansion Drama has ended for now. Just as the Big 12 conference seemed to be falling apart Texas, Oklahoma, and others agree to stay with the conference and leave it at 10. This decision was led by Texas making its decision Monday after being offered 20 million a year to stay. They would also be able to start their own television network which would also bring in 5 million a year. All of the teams ended up agreeing to stay knowing that they might lose their rivals changing to a different conference. So as for now, the Big 12 is at ten teams and the Big 10 remains at 12.
Nfl- Titans quarterback Vince young was cited by poilice for sexual assault outside a strip club Monday. This is the second incident involving abuse and a night club this off season. Young looks to avoid suspension.
