This was a disappointing end to a highly successful season by Champions Scarborough Athletic. We were defeated by a very ordinary looking Glasshoughton side.The 1st half past with very little to get excited about, and the score was 0-0.
Glasshoughton started the better in the 2nd half, but it was Boro who took the lead against the run of play in the 55th minute, Ryan Blott's replacement Dave Brown opened the scoring for Boro', but within 10 minutes of the opening goal Glasshoughton were level, the game looked set to end in a 1-1 stalemate, but with just 5 minutes remaining Boro found themselves 2-1 down, and that was in fact the final score, despite the performance and result Boro fans celebrated with the players following the final whistle, and we can now look forward to exciting times ahead in the Evo Stick Leagues on the way back to the football league via the Conference.
