Manny Pacquiao says he will be the first man to knock Clottey out

Joshua Clottey has physical size and strength going for him, however WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao isn't the least bit worried. Pacquiao will be defending his title against Clottey on March 13 at the Dallas Cowboys stadium in Texas. Pacquiao told a Filipino newspaper that in the past people weren't sure about his power but after beating Oscar De La Hoya the way he did, beating Miguel Cotto, and knocking out Ricky Hatton in spectacular fashion he proved those people wrong. He hopes to prove all the experts wrong again by knocking out Clottey and demonstrating his power.

"Clottey is big and strong. People were saying that I won't be able to put Cotto down but you know what happened," said Pacquiao.

Pacquiao will be very careful with Clottey because he may come in the ring weighing as much as 160 pounds fully hydrated. Clottey also has a very strong chin and some people feel that he beaten until Cotto. Pacquiao complemented Clottey on having a great hook and a nice uppercut.
