Inter vice-President Javier Zanetti believes “there are many teams” who can hope to challenge Juventus for the Scudetto.

Juventus have won the League for the past five seasons in a row, and looked to be on course for another title when they moved seven points clear just before Christmas.

However, defeat to Fiorentina on Sunday night has seen the gap reduced to just one point, albeit with a game in hand, and the former Inter captain is hoping that we see a proper title Race in the second half of the season.

“This is such a competitive and beautiful League, and I hope it keeps going like this,” Zanetti said, having attended a Football and Disability event in Rome.

“I think Juve are still favourites, but there are a lot of teams who can dream of keeping the Scudetto Race alive.

“The potential is there, I see a lot of well-equipped teams and I hope it stays this compelling until the end because it would make the fans happy.”
