Felipe Melo: Diego Can Lead Juventus To Serie A Title

The Brazilian has hailed the Bianconeri and compatriot Diego after a commanding performance against Seongnam in the Peace Cup.

Felipe Melo made his Juventus debut last night, coming on a second half substitute as the Old Lady crushed Korean side Seongnam 3-0, and he was quick to praise new team-mate Diego after the fixture.

“We got this victory against a tough team that only two days ago held Sevilla to a draw,” Melo told the club’s official website.

“Ever since I Joined up with my new team-mates, I have been working hard. I soon understood I had joined a great family and this is important.”

Brazilian trequartista Diego, who arrived at Juve from German club Werder Bremen this summer, also made his first appearance for the Bianconeri, marking his debut with a superb solo goal.

“We have a long season ahead of us and we can really aim high with Diego,” said the former Fiorentina man.

“The Scudetto is a dream, but we are working to achieve that.”

The Turin giants are now through to the semi-finals of the summer tournament and might come face-to-face with a star-studded Real Madrid side on Friday.
