CAO Brazilia: Fine Full-Bodied Smoke

Tags: brazilia cigar

CAO generally makes a fine Cigar and the Brazilia line is no exception.  The Brazilia’s Nicaraguan filler and Nicaraguan binder are wrapped in a beautiful dark, oily Brazilian maduro leaf.

Cigar Aficianado gave the Brazilia a rating of 91 and it isn’t hard to understand why.  This cigar is a full-bodied smoke that is a bit spicy with tremendous earth tones.  It goes wonderfully with a good bourbon to sip.

The Brazilia comes in several different sizes from the tiny Cariocas (4 x 38) to the monster Amazon (6 x 60).  The Gol! (5 x 56), for me is a good length with just about the perfect, fat ring gauge.  Although I typically smoke these down to a nub and usually want a bit more, they never leave me with too much cigar to conquer and I never tire of them even after the hour and fifteen minutes or so it takes to get through one.  Like Walt Disney said, “Always leave them wanting more.”  The Brazilia also now comes in a box press (5 1/2 x 55), which I would highly recommend.

CAO constructs an incredibly consistent product across the board.  Almost invariably these cigars are solidly built, yet burn easily and evenly with a tight long ash.  And aesthetically, there aren’t many cigar companies who can hang with CAO.  Beautiful cigars and hip, sleek, innovative packaging have become hallmarks of the company.

So grab a Brazilia…and some bourbon, and head to the porch for a wonderful experience that you won’t regret.
