Manchester Untied defender Rio Ferdinand says the Manchester United will go in to win The Europa League.

Manchester Untied were relegated to Europa League after losing their Champions League game against Basel but Rio Ferdinand says that Manchester Untied will show full respect to the less prestigious European Cup.

"We have to be prepared, it's as simple as that," said Ferdinand, "No matter what gets said, ridiculed or not, we respect the tournament and will go in there to win it.

Ferdinand has also taken a hit at press for criticizing the Manchester United's Young players.

Ferdinand Said: "A few weeks ago you guys were saying we had the best young players going, now you're obviously going to start questioning those young guys so sometimes it doesn't add up. You don't become a bad player in the space of two weeks... make your mind up."
