France and Tottenham Hotspur’s skipper Hugo Lloris has admitted that it’s ‘painful’ to see France team-mate Laurent Koscielny struggling through injury after the Arsenal international recently spoke out on the subject.

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny was forced to miss out on the plane to Russia for the World Cup finals after tearing his Achilles in the Europa League semi-final fixture against Atletico Madrid last May.

Koscielny revealed ‘How painful it was, to see his French teammates lifting the World Cup without him’ and told us that he was forgotten by most of his mates ,saying that coach Didier Deschamps got in contact only on his birthday. Though its not just the gaffer but also a lot of people who have ‘disappointed’ him.

Hugo Lloris spoke to the media about the quotes from the Arsenal defender.

“I don’t have all the facts in front of me regarding the calls and the messages,” the goalkeeper began (via RMC Sport). “What is certain is that we thought a lot about him during the competition.

“He was a very important person in the team. What he said yesterday, it’s painful to see him in that situation. He suffered, but he’s going to give himself some new challenges.”

Everyone hopes that Lolo returns to Arsenal with new spirit and get Arsenal defensive line a new look. This season is about returning to Champions League and maybe getting hands on the European trophy too. Koscielny will definitely have a large scale impact on Arsenal defensively, as soon as he is back!
