The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to play England in a pre-World Cup friendly match in June, according to Mohammed Sanusi the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) general secretary.
Both countries will be at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, with England drawn in Group G with Belgium, Panama, and Tunisia, while Gernot Rohr's men will be facing Croatia, Iceland, and Argentina.
"We plan to play a friendly against England in June, before the World Cup," Mohammed Sanusi said, adding that they are still working on the venue and other details of the match.
Hopefully, the NFF can pull this off as the Super Eagles need matches like this to prepare for the World cup proper.
