De Gea came under fire for his error that saw Cristiano Ronaldo score for Portugal and was also blasted for failing to save a penalty in the last 16 shootout exit to Russia, he had an awful world cup after he succeeded to save only 1 shot of the 11 shots he faced. De Gea was back to his brilliant best in the 2-1 away win at Watford on Saturday making a stunning late save from Christian Kabasele to ensure the 3 points for United.
