Barcelona broke their transfer record when they brought in Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in a deal estimated to be worth around 160 million euro.
But recent develops have revealed that the club could be set to include another transfer record in the their history books.
This time around, it involves the transfer of Rafinha whose transfer would actually set a record at the club. According to reports, Rafinha is set to move to Inter Milan for a fee of 35 million euro with another 3 million in variables.
Rafinha would leave on loan for the remaining half of the season, while Inter Milan are expected to pay the fees in the summer to make the move permanent.
On completion of the deal, the Brazilian would be the most expensive player sold from La Masia.
Barcelona’s prestigious La Masia academy has been hailed as one of the best in Europe. But they have actually stood out for saving Barcelona millions (Iniesta, Messi,Xavi….) rather than earning them millions in transfer fees.
Cesc Fabregas’ transfer to Chelsea for 33 million euro comes in second on the highest fees for La Masia graduates.
