Premier League predictions: Watford, Leicester and Everton to win?

This weekend is very for the teams who sit at the bottom of the Premier League table – Cardiff City, Fulham, Newcastle and Huddersfield. Any of them has a chance to win 3 points and to climb the table.

Bournemouth vs Manchester United

This will be test for United. Bournemouth are playing very well so far this season and of Jose Mourinho’s team win on their home ground, it would mean that the Red Devils are improving. Theoretically I should back Bournemouth to either win or draw, but United are a big team, despite that they didn’t get the results they could so far this season.

This is one of those game when the individual class of player like Pogba, Mata, Lukaku and other MUFC players should make the difference.

Man United to win: 1:2

Cardiff City vs Leicester City

Cardiff will have another opportunity to distance themselves from the relegation zone. They are a good team, especially considering the fact that they don’t have the budget of the other Premier League clubs.

I think that Leicester City are the best team out side top 6. They have good players and a talented and experienced manager, but more importantly they have a good composure as a team and their own playing style. In the difficult times for their club, the Foxes player will be expected to show their character.

Leicester to win: 1:2

Everton vs Brighton

Everton are slowly improving under Marco Silva. I think they can finish in top 6 under him and probably to win a cup this or next season. Any further progress would require the Toffees to move to a higher level as a team, as a club and as a commercial enterprise.

The current Everton squad has a quality players like Richarlison and Gulfy Sigurdson and if they play regularly the Toffees will get results.

Brighton themselves did that and got transformed from a Championship club to a Premier League regular. I expect them to play in the Premier League for the seasons to come. They are a well balanced team and have the potential to get points or win against the league leaders, which they did last season on a couple of occasions. In this particular fixture, I think that they would loose to Everton, however.

Everton to win: 2:1

Newcastle vs Watford

Any projection based on the current form of both teams would go in Watford’s way. The Hornets are really impressive this season. They defend well and are really sharp when they are going forward. Their home form is excellent and they rank 4th in the table by the pint win at home. AwY from home they are also good and they won 7 point is 4 games.

Unlike them Newcastle are the only team who didn’t get even a single point at home and I really think that this season the Magpies are going back to the Championship. Whatever figure is Rafael Benitez, he simply cannot win point himself, he needs the right players to do it. One win would turn Newcastle fortunes around, but I would not suggest anyone to bet on them against Watford.

Watford to win: 1:3

West Ham vs Burnley

This is one of the games that the Hammers must win if they want to progress under Manuel Pellegrini. Burnley are a team with good composure, but rhetorically there are less talent in their team than in the West Ham’s one. Unlike West Ham, the Clarets will not be under pressure as their fans do not have high expectations.

West Ham vs Burnley

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Arsenal have shown some weaknesses against Crystal Palace and after a long run of wins, they have lost 2 point after the Cristal Palace’s late equalizer. The Liverpool visit to Emirates is an opportunity for the Unai Emery’s side to win 3 points against a team who is better than them at the moment.

Jurgen Klopp isn’t that to trim Liverpool into a foot ball machine. His side is more stable than it was last season, his players press less and develop their attacks more cautiously. Last season the Reds conceded a lot of goals when their strikers or midfielders lost balls during Liverpool’s attacks. This season Liverpool look less impressive when they are going forward, but much more solid as a team.

I believe that if the Reds strikers have a good day, the Arsenal’s defence will give them enough opportunities to score goals. So, it is very important what kind of Arsenal will turn up on Saturday evening. A good defensive performance meant that the Gunners would at least draw this game.

Liverpool to win: 1:2

Wolverhampton bs Tottenham

I watched Spurs playing against Manchester City in the ugly looking pitch of Wembley. You can’t play a proper football game on a pick used for American football. It was an excellent game, but I can’t get the NFL logo out of my head after watching at it for 90 minutes. The FA must simply disallow American football games on the English football stadiums. There are enough rugby arenas in the UK.

Spurs were good in the second half against Man City and they would have drawn the game of their strikers were a little bit more focused and if the pitch was in a good condition.

Wolves are a good team which will improve over the course of the season. However, I’ll back Spurs to win all points.

Tottenham to win: 1:2

Manchester City vs Southampton

City are looking very good at the moment and I would not be surprised if they win a second consecutive title. They won against Spurs virtually without Leroy Sane, Kevin De Brune (despite that he’s had played as substitute), and Gabriel Jesus, who came as very late sub. I would be surprised if the Pep Guardiola’s team lose point in any games like the one with Southampton.

Man City to win: 3:0

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

This should be another win for the Blues who are still one of the title contenders despite drop in few points. Chelate are on another level compared Crystal Palace, who themselves should be very careful as I don’t thing that they can consider themselves safe this season. The competition is so huge in the Premier League so no team in the bottom side of the table should consider their top-flight status for granted.

Chelsea to win: 3:0

Huddersfield vs Fulham

A win this home fixture could ease the Huddersfield situation and bring their hopes to stay in the Premier League for another season. Despite that the Terriers are the last in the table, I don’t think that they are that bad. It looks to me that they have been unlucky on a couple of accessions when they could have won 3 points. They could have won against Cardiff City at home in August, then won a point at Goodison Park, but were unlucky to loose 0:1 at home against Crystal Palace. the Terriers have equalized on their away visit to Burnley and could have scored a goal against Liverpool in a game that they have lost 0:1 on their home ground. Within the last 10 games Huddersfield played against Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool, so I don’t think that they have the best possible fixture list at the beginning of the season.

Fulham need to improve their away form, if they want to stay in the Premier League. The Cottagers scored 2 away goals against Cardiff City, but conceded 4. They have the worst defensive record in the league so far this season.

Huddersfield to win: 2:1
