AS Roma star Alisson Becker has revealed that the transfer rumors linking him to Real Madrid are more than welcome, despite the fact that the Los Blancos also chasing De Gea and Courtois.

The 25-year-old has been in fine form for AS Roma and is one of the main reasons that Francesco Totti’s former club sees themselves face Barcelona in the last eight of the Champions League. Called the Messi of goal-keepers, Alisson has been Roma’s mainstay between the sticks and has further seen his value sky-rocket with the World Cup on the horizon.

The Brazilian international has been however linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea, with both Liverpool and Napoli the more serious contenders for the 25-year-old’s signature. But now it looks like the fab four have competition from Real Madrid, with the Los Blancos having turned their interest towards a much more affordable replacement for Keylor Navas. The La Liga giants have struggled this season and both Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane have decided to revamp their squad.

This includes a potential replacement for Costa-Rican international Keylor Navas, with the likes of David De Gea and Thibaut Courtois been touted as potential replacements. However, while the Spaniard is their main target, Real Madrid have slowly realized that Manchester United could ask for an exorbitant price given the current transfer market.

Which is why they have turned their attention to the AS Roma Star Alisson Becker, who likes the fact that Real Madrid are interested in him. In an interview with Globoesporte, the 25 year old went on to say “Those links massage the ego, it cannot be denied. People get satisfaction from having recognition. I feel very happy to have that recognition.

It means that I am doing my job well, that they are watching me. Even more so when one hears about Real Madrid.”

While AS Roma are most certainly out of the title race, the Serie A side still have a chance to qualify for the Champions League and Alisson Becker will play a major part in that. However, whether or not the rumors linking him to Real Madrid actually improves his performances is something that only the future will reveal.
