Records broken by Ronaldo in past 2 years

Recently, Ronaldo broke another record and joined the ‘Elite Five’. 

Whatever the time of year, you can always guarantee that Cristiano Ronaldo will score goals.

Pre-season, post-season, or during the campaign, the incredible Portuguese will pop up to find the net again and again in whatever shirt he happens to have pulled on that day.

Recently the Portuguese man surpassed Pele’s record of 77 international goals with a world cup qualifying hat-trick against Faroe Island moving to 78 goals.

RONALDO’S RECORD IN PAST TWO YEARS:

He’s now found the end of the net in all of the international tournaments he’s played in, adding this sole Confederations Cup strike to his goals at four European Championships and three World Cups and the Olympic Games.

That’s not the only Record he’s set since 2016 though. He has set following records in past couple of years:

>He became the all-time top scorer across the top five leagues in Europe.

>He became the first player to reach 100 European goals and then, a week later, he was the first to register 100 in the Champions League.

>He is now the only man to have scored in four Champions League finals.

>He has been the top scorer in more Champions League seasons than anyone else.

>Moved above Miroslav Klose to sit in third place in Europe’s all-time list of international goalscorers and is now closing in on second.

> Reached 600 career goals for club and country.

>He’s scored at least double a number of goals than any other player in the Champions League quarter-finals (20), semi-finals (13) and finals (4).

>Most goals in a UEFA Champions League season by an individual (17).

>Most FIFA World Player of the Year awards (3).

>Most Liked Person On Facebook (Male).

>Most followed athlete on Twitter (with 37,831,159 followers as of 15 September 2015).

>Most hat-tricks in a La Liga career (32).

>The first player to reach 100 career goals in European competitions (club football).

>Most assists in the UEFA Champions League: 36 assists.

>The first player to score a hat-trick in consecutive Champions League knockout matches: in 2016–17.

>Highest appearance-maker at UEFA European Championship finals: 20 appearances.

>Fastest player to score 350 goals for one club (335 games).

>Only player to finish Champions League top scorer in 5 consecutive seasons (2012-2013 to 2016-2017).

>Real Madrid all time top scorer.

>Ronaldo is the top scorer in international football who are currently active.
