Must have Players for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 35

The FPLGeneral looks at the must-have players for Fantasy Premier League GW35. This FPL classification is based on the players performance during the previous Premier League matches this season.

It’s a tricky gameweek in FPL this week with rotation likely in the Liverpool camp ahead of their Champions League semi-final and we also don’t know what kind of XI Pep Guardiola is going to field against Swansea now that the league is wrapped up. The press conferences on Thursday/Friday will hopefully give us some clues as to the starting lineups for both clubs.

Mohamed Salah

Fixture: West Brom vs Liverpool (Saturday 12.30)

If it looks like Salah’s going to feature, he’s a no-brainer. 40 goals now in all competitions. Phenomenal.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Fixture: Arsenal vs West Ham (Sunday 13.30)

Aubameyang is the only Arsenal player I’ve included this week because he’s the only one who is guaranteed to start against the Hammers (watch Wenger bench him now). He’s a classy player who’s in great form with 6 goals and 2 assists in 8 games for the Gunners in the Premier League.

West Ham have Joe Hart in goal. I expect ‘Auba’ to score at least one. He’ll be one of the first names in my Sportito XI for Sunday’s #FPLCommunity contest.

Wilfried Zaha

Fixture: Watford vs Crystal Palace (Saturday 15.00)

If I was free hitting in FPL this week, I’d definitely be including Zaha. He’s been playing up front in the absence of Christian Benteke in recent matches and has managed 3 goals in his last 2.

Palace are one of the few teams left with something to play for which makes Zaha an attractive option not just for this week, but for the run-in. After Watford this weekend, it’s Leicester, Stoke & West Brom. I can see him getting a few more goals between now and the end of the season.

Raheem Sterling

Fixture: Manchester City vs Swansea (Sunday 16.30)

Sterling is my preference when it comes to the City midfielders, probably because he did so well for me earlier in the season. I’m likely to bring him back in this week for either Mahrez or Son.

He’s impressed me over the last couple of matches despite missing some glorious chances, but that’s Raheem Sterling. He get’s into goal-scoring positions so often and that’s what I like. If he brings his shooting boots with him on Sunday he could go big. He’s returned attacking points in each of his last 5 premier league appearances (3 goals & 3 assists).

Gabriel Jesus

Fixture: Manchester City vs Swansea (Sunday 16.30)

Jesus is an obvious choice now that Sergio Aguero has been ruled out for a couple of weeks. With a double gameweek on the horizon, the Brazilian is going to be picked up by a lot of FPL managers in the coming days. He’s got 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 3 starts. He could force his way into my FPL team for GW35. He’ll be in my Sportito XI on Sunday for sure.
