‘Bobby’ has been assigned the ‘No.9’ shirt at Liverpool for the new season and he’ll hope to emulate the likes of Robbie Fowler and Fernando Torres rather than Rickie Lambert and Iago Aspas! The Brazilian was on the score sheet in GW1 from the penalty spot and he also provided the assist for Mo Salah. Palace conceded three at home to newly-promoted Huddersfield last weekend, how many will they concede away to free-scoring Liverpool? This one could be a cricket score unless Frank de Boer plays centre-half himself…
Tom Heaton (GK)
Burnley vs West Brom (Saturday 15.00)
Heaton was the top scoring goalkeeper in fantasy football in 2016/17. Burnley were superb defensively at Turf Moor during the last campaign and Sean Dyche will be hoping for more of the same this season. West Brom are the visitors on Saturday, a defensively minded team who struggle to score goals. Heaton will be confident of registering a clean sheet in this one.
Jamie Vardy (F)
Leicester vs Brighton (Saturday 15.00)
Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud put an end to Vardy’s party at the Emirates last Friday night as Arsenal came out on top in a 4-3 thriller. The Englishman did score a brace to remind fantasy managers of his abilities. Brighton conceded twice against Manchester City in GW1 and Vardy will be confident of adding to his goal tally in this one.
Harry Kane (F)
Spurs vs Chelsea (Sunday 16.00)
Kane disappointed fantasy managers in GW1, failing to register any attacking returns and also picked up a yellow card. Up next for Spurs is a London derby against Chelsea. We all know Kane loves a goal in a London derby. Chelsea will be lacking confidence coming into this one after their loss to Burnley last weekend. The Blues will also be without the suspended Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas.
