ASAP Italia, the company behind Sportito Daily Fantasy Sports platform, has announced the appointment of Paolo Farinella as its new Chief Technology Officer.
The new CTO will be responsible for leading all aspects of ASAP Italia’s technological development towards the company’s growth. Mr Farinella’s expertise will be advantageous given the increasingly fast paced growth the company is experiencing.
ASAP Italia operates brands across international borders such as Sportito, a Daily Fantasy Sports platform; Superscommesse, an odds comparison website; Super News, a portal dedicated to citizen journalism; and Bettingrunner, a sports betting tips marketplace.
The company’s latest project, the Daily Fantasy Sports platform Sportito, a, was launched in the UK in 2016 and holds the title of Official DFS partner for both Burnley FC and Fulham FC. Sportito is currently operating with UKGC licence and will be soon launching to several other countries of Europe, South America, Africa and Asia, with Gambling licence from Malta with the ultimate target of conquering the 40m strong DFS fan base.
Mr Farinella is highly experienced in working for top brands such as Amazon and Ebay. After working for eight years in Italy on financial integration applications, he moved to Amsterdam where he was one of the main players in defining the new Dutch market for the American giant.
Later, he moved to London where he drove two dedicated Big Data teams and Amazon Prime Video projects. In 2016, he also started as a consultant, freelance CTO and Agile Coach for startups, mainly in the UK and US.
