Casillas to the Emirates

In more nonsensical goalkeeper talk, the latest shot-stopper to be linked to the Club is none other than Iker Casillas. 35-year-old Casillas is currently playing for Porto but is wanting a move away in the summer with London his ideal preference. The Spanish keeper had signed a two-year contract in 2015 with a one-year extension but is exploring his options further and would welcome a move to the Premier League. Whether Arsenal would consider Casillas, at 35 years old, when current goalkeeper Petr Cech will be the same age in the summer is debatable.

Patricio blow

After reports yesterday linking Arsenal to Sporting Lisbon goalkeeper Rui Patricio for £13m, it seems the Portuguese club won’t let him leave for anything less than the release clause in his contract of £40m. That should put pay to that transfer moving forward.

Ballack on Ozil

Ex German international Michael Ballack has claimed Mesut Ozil’s future is directly linked to manager Arsene Wenger’s future at the club. Ballack has said that Ozil and Wenger have a good relationship and this is probably the reason the German is stalling on a new contract. With Wenger’s future to be revealed soon, perhaps this will give us some indication on Ozil and if he will be staying or leaving come the summer.

Sanchez

The daily bulletin would not seem right without a Sanchez update or rumour so here goes. Arsenal will hold out for £50m if Alexis Sanchez does not sign a new contract in the summer. According to reports, Sanchez is holding out for £260,000 per week with the club unwilling to agree to his demands.

If he does leave, the clubs preference would be to sell him overseas rather than to another Premier League team.

Italian in or out

Well, it seems that Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick agent has denied that the forward is due to meet Arsenal representatives this week. The Czech has scored 9 goals so far this season but looks to remain a Sampdoria player for now despite the report.

Arsenal appealing

That is according to Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso. The 22-year-old is wanted by a host of clubs including Barcelona but still admitted that a move to Arsenal would also be appealing. Since making his debut in 2013, he has played 110 times scoring 19 goals for the French club.
