This new intake is different than many aftermarket intakes for the JL Wrangler because it uses a proper air box. The box helps keep hot air under the hood from being used by the intake. This helps keep Intake Air Temperatures as low as possible which improves overall performance. On top of the lower intake air temps, the box helps keep dust and water away from the air intake. As tested by Injen, this new intake is proven to add up to 9hp and 11 ft-lbs of torque. This will help your JL Wrangler scoot down the road, especially if you have larger than stock tires.
