National League Betting Preview Saturday 21st October 2017

National League Betting Preview Saturday 21st October 2017

After a break for the FA Cup, its back to the bread and butter of the League this weekend and we’ve picked out some of the best matches taking place in our National League Betting Preview this weekend.

AFC Fylde vs MaidstoneLive Game Odds
AFC Fylde knocked high-flying Wrexham out of the FA Cup at the weekend to book their place in the 1st round and they will be looking to take that form into the league. In the National League, they’ve won just one of eight but have shown notable improvement in recent contests and they are 13/10 with Boylesports to pick up all three points at Mill Farm.

They’ve kept three clean sheets in their last five home matches and it’s 10/7 with 888Sport for Both Teams to Score? No.

Maidstone start this game seven points above their hosts and will be looking to continue their upward trajectory in the division. They’ve recently picked up victories at Barrow and Macclesfield so don’t have any problems travelling to the North West of England and can be backed at 9/5 with Paddy Power.

Aldershot vs TranmereLive Game Odds
Aldershot progressed nicely in the FA Cup and have been rewarded with a tie against League One leaders Shrewsbury. Garry Waddock will be without defender Chris Arthur as the experienced full back joins the extensive injury list. The Shots are looking to end a sequence of four games without a win and are priced at 15/8 for success here.

Tranmere have had an underwhelming start to the campaign but have started to turn a corner and arrive here unbeaten in three games. Despite being the away side, they are once again priced up as the favourites for this tie at 29/20 with Betfred.

The Merseyside outfit have been defensively sound on the road with just three goals conceded on their travels but it has been to the detriment of their attacking play. Under 2.5 Goals is priced at 4/6 with 888Sport.

Bromley v WokingLive Game Odds
It’s been a remarkable start to the season for Bromley who are currently challenging for a play-off spot. After back-to-back defeats, they managed successive wins on the road at Maidstone and Gateshead and they arrive here full of confidence. Former Charlton and Wolves defender Roger Johnson has recently joined the club and he should add plenty of experience to the back-line. Boylesports have priced them up as 20/21 favourites for this home tie.

Woking have been in excellent form themselves, winning nine of their opening 15 matches and sitting third in the table. They’ve won three of their last four away games and are 5/2 with Betfred to take all three points once again.

The Cards have scored nine goals in their last four away matches and have kept just one clean sheet along the way and Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 14/19 with 888Sport.

Chester vs Boreham WoodLive Game Odds
Marcus Bignot was scathing of his side’s performance against Kidderminster in the FA Cup and he must pick his side up ahead of this National League match. Bignot took over from Jon McCarthy fairly recently and his arrival has caused an upturn in results. They’ve picked up four points from the last three matches including holding Tranmere to a goalless draw and they will be confident of getting something from this tie. They are priced up as 11/5 outsiders for this match with Bet365.

Boreham Wood did manage to progress to the next round of the FA Cup and have been drawn against Blackpool. They’re unbeaten in three matches but only scored once in each of those ties. They are 23/10 with Paddy Power to take a point from this match.

Chester aren’t giving much away as Bignot gets his side back to basics whilst Boreham Wood are lacking firepower at the moment. Under 2.5 Goals priced at 5/6 with Boylesports.

Dagenham v WrexhamLive Game Odds
It’s 6th vs 5th in the National League with this match the highlight of the afternoon’s fixtures. There is still a large discrepancy between the Dagger’s home and away form with John Still’s men picking up 16 of their 24 points at home this season. They will be fancied by many to pick up three points here and are 3/4 with 888Sports to secure another maximum in front of their own fans.

Wrexham have kept things tight this season although they were below par in the FA Cup against AFC Fylde. They came from behind to beat Eastleigh two weeks ago and they are a decent looking 16/5 with Bet365 to beat the former Football League season.

The hosts have a number of players who are able to hurt the opposition and Connor Whitely has been one of the standout stars of the division. He’s 6/5 3rd favourite to score anytime in this fixture.

Dover vs MaidenheadLive Game Odds
It’s incredibly tight at the top of the table and Dover sit just a point behind early leaders Macclesfield. The Kent outfit will have their eyes on the summit when they host Maidenhead on Saturday afternoon. Boylesports have priced them up as 4/5 favourites for this tie.

The hosts have hit five goals without reply in their last two matches here and Both Teams to Score? No is priced at 11/10 with Betfred.

Maidenhead have slipped to 12th in the league table after winning just one of their last four matches and have lost three straight away games. They’ll be aiming to end that run with at least a point here and they are 45/17 with 888Sport to secure a draw here.

Eastleigh vs GatesheadLive Game Odds
Eastleigh suffered a shock exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Hereford and need to bounce back instantly. Manager Richard Hill insisted his side are still fighting and he seems determined to put things right in Hampshire. The Spitfires are 6/5 with Boylesports to pick up maximum points in their own back yard.

Steve Watson has been named as the new Gateshead boss and he will be aiming to continue the fine work created by the now-departed Neil Aspin. Watson leaves league leaders Macclesfield to take the hotseat and will be hoping to get off to a winning start. The Heed are 11/5 to win away from home.

Their away form is not particularly impressive though as they are yet to secure a victory on the road. They’ve netted just four times in their last five away matches and Under 2.5 Goals is 8/11 with Paddy Power to land here.

Ebbsfleet vs BarrowLive Game Odds
Ebbsfleet scrapped away against East Thurrock to secure their place in the 3rd round of the FA Cup and they look to take that tenacity into this league match against Barrow. Daryl McMahon’s side have won three of their last four games in the National League but slipped up against leaders Macclesfield in Cheshire last time out. The hosts are 24/23 with 888Sport to pick up another victory here.

It’s been a disappointing month for Barrow who slipped up at the hands of Shaw Lane in the FA Cup. They’ve also slipped to 20th in the league after losing four of five and are a huge 13/5 with Betfred here.

Mickey Moore paid the consequences for the sides terrible form and the new manager will have a big job on his hands. They’ve lost three of their last five away matches by a 1-0 scoreline and it is 15/2 with Paddy Power for this match to go the same way.

Guiseley vs Solihull MoorsLive Game Odds
Paul Cox’s Guiseley are scrapping for every point and they’ve been much better in West Yorkshire recently. Since the former Barrow coach took over they have shown plenty of fight but ultimately they are low on quality. Their last home victory came on the 19th of September but they will see this as an opportunity to pick up three points against a relegation rival. They are 24/23 with 888Sport to secure a victory here.

Solihull Moors have had a recent change of manager but it hasn’t helped with their league form. They’ve lost three successive matches including back-to-back home encounters. They have been priced at 5/2 by Bet365 to bag at least a point here.

Neither side are defending with any confidence at the moment and Solihull Moors have shipped 27 goals already this campaign. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 4/6 with Betfred.

Halifax vs TorquayLive Game Odds
After a flirtation with the top three, Halifax are winless in three and have started to slip down the table. Their home form is still excellent however with four wins from seven and no defeat in five at the Shay. They are a shade of odds-on at 20/23 with Boylesports to carry on their decent form in Yorkshire.

They haven’t kept many clean sheets here and their defence has kept just one clean sheet in five. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 3/5 with Bet365.

Torquay crashed out of the FA Cup at the hands of divisional rivals Aldershot but did show plenty of signs of life in their recent 4-0 demolition of Maidenhead at Plainmoor. Their away form hasn’t been good but Gary Owers will be hoping to see his side battle hard and stay in this game. They are 12/5 with 888Sport to bag a point for the long journey back.

Hartlepool v SuttonLive Game Odds
Hosts Hartlepool have won three of their last five matches in the National League as the Monkey Hangers put their poor start to the season behind them. Victoria Park seems a happy place at the moment and fans are starting to return. They are priced at 17/10 with Paddy Power to pick up another three points on their own patch.

Despite being the away side, Sutton have been priced up as the favourites for this tie. They are 7/5 with Betfred to secure all three points for the long journey back down the M1. They do have the 3rd best away form in the division but have collected just a single point from their two most recent trips.

Jonathon Franks has been in wonderful form for the hosts and netted a last minute winner during the clubs recent 2-1 success at Solihull Moors. He is 11/4 with Bet365 to replicate his exploits here in North East.

Leyton Orient vs MacclesfieldLive Game Odds
Orient have struggled for consistency under Steve Davis but some confidence can be gained from their narrow 1-0 success against Dagenham in the FA Cup. They are back at Brisbane Road but face a daunting task in taking down the league leaders. Paddy Power price the O’s up as 11/10 favourites for this tie.

Macc are enjoying life at the top of the table although they’ve lost assistant Steve Watson who takes over at Gateshead. They have tremendous away from and will fancy their chances of getting something against the former Football League side. They are the 23/10 outsiders for this match wiith Betfred.

Orient have enough firepower but their defence has routinely let them down and they’ve shipped at least two goals in their last five National League matches. Over 2.5 Goals is priced up at 7/9 with 888Sport.
