Ladbrokes Online Sportsbook Review

Ladbrokes Online Sportsbook Review

Ladbrokes is one of the oldest and most established name in sports betting and has a tremendous reputation among punters. We’ve reviewed their online offering.

Getting Started & Signing Up

Ladbrokes ensure signing up is a simple and straightforward process. The large green ‘Join Now’ button is visible in the top right corner on the home page and it only take a few minutes of your precious betting time to become a customer.

As well as the usual required details, Ladbrokes will ask for a secret question. These are usual protagonists (Mother’s Maiden Name, First School etc) and there is also the option to set a deposit limit.

Ladbrokes will quickly process these details, send a confirmation email and it’s completed quick as a flash!

Depositing Options

Ladbrokes offers many different ways of depositing. Visa Credit and Debit cards will be very popular, but Paypal, Neteller, Skrill and Pay Safe Card are other viable options.

You can use numerous and varied methods for payments to your account which is handy if you regularly move money from account to account.

Once you’ve added a card or paypal account, the deposit menu appears down the right hand side.

Ladbrokes suggests an initial deposit of £45, which may be a little excessive for many (myself included), so make sure you change the deposit amount before confirming. You can deposit anything from £5/$5 upwards.

Making a withdrawal is easy with a minimum of £10/$10 required. Payments generally arrive in customer’s accounts within 48 hours.

New Customer Bonus

Ladbrokes offers an up to £50/$50 deposit bonus to all new customers. Using the code F50, users can claim their bonus upon signing up,

To qualify, new customers must place a bet of £5/$5 or more with odds of 1/2 or greater and the deposit should be credited straight away. If there any problems, help is at hand via Live Chat or email.

Be careful, as many people fall into the trap of spreading their bets out, but you MUST bet a total of £5/$50 in order to qualify for this. It also must be used within 7 days of registering. Don’t miss out!

Ease of Use

The Ladbrokes website is very easy to navigate and it’s straightforward to locate the Market of your choosing. The Interface is very pleasing and the desktop site is better than the mobile version which can occasionally be a little clunky.

Clicking on ‘All Sports’ reveals a handy drop-down menu which is simple to use.

They have significantly improved their website over the last couple of years with the pleasing red and white colour scheme making it easy-on-the-eye.

Mobile Betting and App

There was a short time when Ladbrokes’ mobile offering was lacking compared to a number of its counterparts, but over the last couple of years, it has improved massively!

The new App is easy to download and is available for Android and iPhone users installing straight away.

It is ridiculously easy to place a bet on the move with the Ladbrokes App. If you’re in a rush and you have just 20 second before a race begins or you secretly need to place a bet on the football at work, it’s perfect! The quick bet feature is very enjoyable and one of the best things about the Ladbrokes App.

Other positive aspects of the App include a 10p minimum bet which is handy for accumulators or other multiples. The aforementioned live streaming, which is now available on the move. Who doesn’t want to watch the Bundesliga on the train?

All of the same deposit options and account settings are also available on the App.

If you’d have asked me a couple of years ago, I wouldn’t have been quite so complimentary of the Ladbrokes App, but they have improved it significantly, taken on customer feedback and can genuinely rival all other sportsbooks on the market.

The only negative we can find about the App is that they don’t offer mobile customers extra incentives or bonuses.

Other Bonuses & Promotions

There is a dedicated page on the Ladbrokes website which will continually update all ongoing promotions. It is easy to locate along the top of the home page.

As well as the sign up bonus, Ladbrokes also offer 5 Team Acca Insurance. This is an offer available with numerous online sportsbooks, but is perfect for the weekend!

Who doesn’t love an accumulator? If you select 5 teams and 1 lets you down, Ladbrokes will return your stake as a free bet. This is up to £25/$25 and is available on the majority of the top leagues from around Europe.

There are plenty of horse racing promotions available with Ladbrokes including ‘Best Odds Guaranteed’. If you take a price earlier in the day and frustratingly the SP goes off at a greater price, Ladbrokes will not only pay you out at that price, but will add a bonus too. This is great for those betting big on singles.

The same promotion applies to greyhound bets.

Finally, Ladbrokes will launch promotions for big sporting events such as Premier League matches, Wimbledon or the World Snooker Championship. These offers vary, but will usually involve price boosts on popular goal-scorers or outright selections. These usually have a £25/$25 limit and last for a short time only.

Markets & Odds

The Ladbrokes website is easy to navigate and they don’t try and overcomplicate things!

Locating the sport of your choice is simple enough and picking out the market couldn’t be easier.

Outside of sport, there is a casino, poker room and bingo which are all available.

Upcoming races from around the UK are displayed down the right hand side and the live in-play betting console loads up straight away. If you fancy placing a bet immediately, this is very handy!

Outside of football and racing, there is an extensive range of sports available. There are even sports you didn’t think were available for betting!

Ladbrokes’ range includes Bandy, Athletics, MMA, Futsal, Ice Hockey and Speedway. There are also TV & Specials markets which include X-Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and even the next Doctor Who!

Politics is also an increasingly popular category with UK & US elections proving competitive betting heats lately. Ladbrokes caters for this with a number of markets which are frequently updated.

Football

As you can imagine there are thousands of matches from around the world priced up with hundreds of markets available on each contest. Having Chris Kamara as the face of the company is always going to mean Ladbrokes pride themselves on their football markets and they don’t disappoint! Both Teams to Score, Over/Under, First Team to Score & Double Chance markets are all available. There are several enhanced offers available and it’s ridiculously simple to become ambitious and form an accumulator!

Horse Racing

Ladbrokes offers competitive prices for each race in the UK & Ireland and promotes the aforementioned Best Odds Guaranteed. They also price up future events including the Cheltenham Festival, Grand National and Imperial Cup. They also price up races from France, South Africa & the USA.

Other Sports-

Other popular sports include tennis, cricket and golf. There are plenty of markets available on the latter with 1st round leader and top 10 finish both popular. The tennis markets are extensive with particular prominence on the Grand Slams. ITF Tour and Challenger events are also priced up, but are largely restricted to one or two markets. Finally, Rugby Union and Rugby League are other popular sports which are available on the Ladbrokes console.

Other Useful Features

Live Streaming

There are a number of other features which are available to Ladbrokes customers including the excellent Live Streaming.

If you’re having a bet on the football or the tennis and want to see how your selected player or team is getting on, Ladbrokes stream thousands of sporting events every year.

There is a criteria you must meet in order to view these events – positive account balance OR have placed a bet in the last 24 hours. This is rarely a problem for most of us!

Everything from the Russian Premier League to the NBA Finals via Twenty20 Cricket is available to view.

This is not only available through desktop, but also via Mobile and App.

Stats & Results

Ladbrokes offer all UK & Irish Horse Racing results on its website and offers stats on most football leagues and competitions.

Customer Support

Ladbrokes aims to look after its customers and with a growing number of people around the world signing up, they cater for all.

There a number of different languages available including German, Spanish, Bulgarian and Thai.

Live Chat is an increasingly popular feature introduced by many online sportsbooks and this is handy for settling any queries involving accounts or bonuses.

Phone numbers and email addresses are easy to find on the website and are manned 24/7.

Ladbrokes’ Twitter feed is also active and will answer any questions or attempt to solve any disputes through this method.

Overall, there is a pleasing array of customer support available.

Ladbrokes is one of the leading online sportsbooks and there offering is very impressive. Their website is easy to navigate and they offer a generous welcome bonus. The Live Streaming and Quick Bet features on the new and improved App are excellent additions and it’s clear that Ladbrokes listens to its customers. They are definitely recommended!
