Praying vs Spirit

Prayer is a path to communicating with God, a means to making our needs known to Him and asking in His name. But, are we to Pray according to our own agenda? Not at all, rather, we ought pray in harmony with the leading of the Holy Spirit, pray in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20)

This is so because we are weak, we know not how to pray as we ought to. In this very weakness, we get help from the Spirit, He intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words in accordance to the will of God.

Moreover, the weapons for warfare are spiritual for they are rooted in prayer, that is, each Christian’s most powerful resource. God is Spirit and we are called to worship in truth and in spirit, prayer being a form of worship thus prayer in spirit is worshiping God.

Therefore each time we pray, may we pray in the spirit for only the Spirit searches our hearts and understands what the Will of God is in our lives. What’s more than praying in accordance to the Will of Him who authors our days?

Nonetheless, praying must be a lifestyle for without it we remain unplugged from our source of Grace that keeps us going amidst all. Therefore, each time we pray, may we endeavour to do so in the spirit of God.
To God be the Glory
