Take the Walk, Look at the Trees, Breath in the Air

We must strive to find what it is we need to get us back there. Where? To the Christ Self that dwells within us. We must do what feels good but is also right, we cannot just indulge for the sake of a hedonistic fleeting moment of pleasure. We must learn to ask of everything we partake in; How is this helping me be as close to Christ as I Can be? How is this helping me be who it is I am meant to be, the best version of myself? Answering the internal yearning to be back with Him in full consciousness.

And it is easy to fall off the track, until you realise that if your continuing commitment is to return to answer the call, then even the slide-offs can and will be used for this purpose.

Do not fight against yourself too much, that is, sometimes things just happen, and we beat ourselves up for not being as ‘spiritual’ as we thought we should be or believed we were. Don’t dwell on your egos interpretation of events, it is the old way, the way that has held you to this place. No, now is the time for your release, and that means that any mistake you think you have made is simply handed over and your sincere endeavour to learn what He wants to teach us from it is made evident and encouraged.

This is the hard part, I believe, giving up the need for self-admonishment, but it has to be done. Not arrogantly or carelessly but thoughtfully and genuinely, realising that it is not through your own ego-self you can know what you need to know. This is humility.

So, take to the staircase which allows you to do this gently. One step at a time, they are literal and pragmatic. What are your steps back to Him and the Self that knows us and guides us? For these are the ones worth knowing, not another’s. It is an individually different sojourn for all but with the same ends, that is its unification. Contrary to popular belief, it is not about the journey.

Find what you need each day to lurch yourself forward and propel you onward in your determination to be the channel of light you are capable of being, in fact, are, somewhere, already. It shines in you and seeks an out, gently pushing into your awareness each day, each time there is a silence, a break,  that allows its identity to be felt.

This is you, manifest in light, this is the same Self He calls from, a persistent presence but not pushy. We must accept our Self ourselves, no-one can make this decision for us, not Christ. He has already shown us our salvation in his resurrection. He has overcome this place, showing us we can too, but it is all free will.

Find a time, a few seconds, take it and make it for your dedication to answering the Call. For us all. Amen
