The Gift of No Goals

Whilst the positive mindset is good and necessary – it is not God, it is not our Alter, although it may help us get there.

But for those of us who Hear the call loudly, persistently, it is not enough that we have a ‘good’ life, surrounded by plenty of things, possessions, money and people. In fact, that would drown out its gentle but ever-present intonation.

This is not what our life is about or for.

But we use the positive notions to help us, aid us in hearing the call more effectively and expediently. We use the positive mindset to support us in answering the call, helping us get close as we can to the Source of the call, that note we hear coming from somewhere within us.

We want to not just know its origin but join with it and feel our existence through it. we want to join back our mind to God.

So we use whatever is at our disposal to do that and only that. We Seek no other outcome, have no other aim and the means is only important for as long as it is needed to take us to this end, then it is simply forgotten.

As the point of our journey is the destination. A re-membering of ourselves as we truly are, connected to and part of Our Source, our Father of Creation.

This requires no special status, material gains or outer-worldly aims or items, all that we have to do is be orientated to the conclusion of this search – our journey back to Self.

And this is what makes us different to those who think our existence is outside of ourselves, rooted in this place and all its trimmings and trappings. We know it is not and seek not to glorify ourselves here, not even to make ourselves secure, for this is a misperception of who we are and what we need.

We choose instead to increase our fortitude and use time to find the Christ.

This means that even the negative experiences and mindsets we have, offer us as much potential, if not more, to propel our search, giving us the determination to hear His voice above all else that wants to speak of destruction instead.

The positive experiences can be a folly as well. We, our ego, feels good, the call gets muffled, we do not need to be introspective or reach for something else, another way, our outer life is plentiful and prosperous.
Yet do we remain on alert, defensive, yes, for we always need to defend what we have, our Material Wealth always something we justify our need of, getting angry when its true worth is put under inspection.

The positive experiences in life are but another illusion too. Many are trapped and deafened by wanting only these.

To hear the call over material wealth and even stability, we must want only what is true and lasting, therefore, what God created. We seek only what has been given us by Him – spirit.

All that we need to return our thinking to this Self will be given us as we privately and quietly go about our business of answering the call within us. We
do we require a (known) secure future, for that would mean we have planned without Him and sought our existence where it lies not, in the impermanent and the untrue.

So let us rejoice, daily, that we have not only heard the call but are now gladly trying to meet it somewhere within us – for there is no greater service the fragmented mind can decide to do than take itself back to meet with its Creator.

We thank you Father
That we seek to know thyself in You
We thank you for the gift of your enduring memory you placed in us
Gently ingrained even though we seem to be far from you
Thank you for your song of life that calmly rises up and over the death tolls we have made whilst away from you – giving me the courage to do what I know is true and return to you.

Amen.
