A new web service was unveiled a few days ago, which merits a look. It's called Thinkfree Office, and it's a site that lets you create and share Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations.

What's more, it does this without requiring the Microsoft applications themselves - everything is done within a browser window, using the Java Virtual Machine.
