I've been curiously waiting to review the OhMiBod Music Driven Vibrator but had to put it off because I recently lost my iPhone. My husband was kind enough to get me a new one for Christmas which I quickly filled up with music! Much like the Lelo Lily that I reviewed last year, the OhMibod products fall under the luxury vibrator category. They're smooth, sleek and powerful yet quiet and non-descript items with a luxurious finish that will please not just physically but also visually. The OhMiBod Music Driven Vibrator was a lot larger than I was expecting. Be warned that the images do not depict dimensions accurately! If you were planning hide this in your panties to take on the bus for your ride to work, it won't work! But I do like your idea ;) This vibrator is a solid 7 inches long, with 5.5 of those inches being insertable and a nice 1 inch in diameter. It's intended to be an internal vibrator but with a little imagination you might also be able to make use of it externally. It's definitely something that you'll have to enjoy in the privacy of your home but being able to connect it to your iPod or iPhone will provide for some interesting possibilities. As you can probably tell, I'm excited about this product.


Usage:

The OhMiBod will work with most any MP3 player but it is optimized for iPods and iPhones. It will also work with virtually any electronic audio output source that utilizes a 3.5mm jack. This includes laptops, stereos, portable CD players, microphones, electric guitars and CD players. And if you don't have an MP3 player handy or wish to use it without the music, you can do that as well.

The vibrator does not draw power from your audio device so you'll need some 2AA batteries to power it. Included with the vibrator is a splitter which will plug into both your audio device and headphones. It comes with a storage pouch to help keep things neat and together when you're not using it.


Experience:

There's something about unpacking a new sex toy that provides a little added excitement to me and the OhMiBod Music Driven Vibrator doesn't disappoint. It's sleek and shiny and absolutely beautiful to look at. But the anticipation of actually getting to use the toy was killing me and I couldn't wait any longer! Before I had obtained the vibrator I had already done a significant amount of reading up on the item so that I knew how to use beforehand. I had already prepared a number of playlists with songs of different genres and intensities so that I could experience the different moods and modes that many have referred to. To say the least, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this musical vibrator.

The OhMiBod definitely does combine the elegance of design with your favorite music! The vibrator moved to the beat of the rhythm while I listened to my playlists. It was an incredible experience to have my vibrator mimic the melodies that I was experiencing through my headphones! It was sensitive enough to pick up on the bass, singing, musical notes, guitars and other instruments. And I could control the intensity of what I was experiencing by turning the volume up and down (through I found that it was best at a happy medium). I'll have to admit that my first playlist was a bit over ambitious. There was so much going on that I couldn't hold back; I was done before the first song was over! This thing is sensitive and it will get you off quick if you allow it to do so! I was hoping for a longer experience so while I waited for myself to calm down, I began preparing another playlist that could hopefully handle the job. I needed something a bit softer in the beginning with a little escalation at the end to finish things off. Perfection!

Thankfully the vibrator runs on its own set of batteries. This allows it to provide an amazing array of vibrations from weak to strong. I was concerned that it wouldn't be powerful enough or pick up on all the notes but my experience can confirm that the OhMiBod Music Driven Vibrator will pulsate, vibrate and escalate to the rhythm of any beat that you provide it. You may need to broaden your horizons when it comes to the music that you play through this device. It will definitely require some playing around with playlists and genres to get a set that feels good to you. Because this is a dynamic experience, you can create different playlists for different moods. It's an innovative product which I'm personally excited to play around with more.

And just briefly, I gave the vibrator a go without the music. When you need to get off quickly or just want to go without the music, it will get the job done. There are a number of standard settings and intensities that you can choose from just as you'd find it most vibrators.


Cleanliness:

Cleaning the vibrator was quick and simple. It's constructed from non-porous material which means you can disinfect it with an adult toy cleaner, alcohol or mild soap and water. Dry the vibrator thoroughly before putting it away. The only difficultly I encountered during cleaning was the fact that the base is not waterproof. You'll need to ensure that you keep the motor, end cap and batteries away from liquids to prevent corrosion of the electronic parts. I used an alcohol wipe on the exterior of the base to give it a full clean.

If you're the adventurous type, you can even hook it up to musical instruments like a guitar. How amazing would it be to have a partner get you off with his guitar? I don't know because I haven't tried it yet but the thought of it excites me just as much as the vibrator itself.
