....But I voted for Shirley Chisolm

I'm sooooooooo glad this whole voting/election thing is over. I was getting tired of all the fakeness of the voter-come-latelys and the whole trendiness that came with it.
For months on end people were wearing their Anti-Bush T-shirts and I bet you most of them weren't even registered to vote. The whole Anti-Bush thing for a lot of people was just a trend like those dumb-ass trucker hats.

Now what gets me about these Anti-Bushites is that they're so uninformed about everyday politics, most of them can't even tell you who's there Block Association President, and they're mindless drones who don't care about anything else but the latest trends, MTV, and what's on Jerry Springer.

I was watching the stats on ABC about voter turnout and they found that not that many people who registered to vote at the "Vote or Die" event, led by Puff Daddy & Russel Simmons didn't even go to vote on election day. All they wanted I guess was a free concert. Even a few of the major hip-hop acts who performed and were encouraging people to vote weren't even registered.

It's funny how it's so trendy just to look like you stand for something. I guess we're living in an age of no originality or sensibility. When I ask these Anti-Bushites why they're wearing their Anti-Bush T-shirts and other paraphernalia they usually say "because of Iraq". Then I ask them if they support the war and why do you think our country is over there and they say "because we had to get Saddam out and get the terrorists before they get us". And duhhh....so why do you hate Bush now???????????!!!!!!!! None of these people I polled can tell me logically why they had hate Bush. NONE! You're giving him advertisement by having his name and face all over your body and on your car bumpersticker. If you're so upset with the President's service, why not try to impeach him or rally against his policies.

These same people just jump on the bandwagon on anything and don't think for themselves. The masses just complain and complain and rarely do anything about it.
Macheavelli was so right when he said.."the many are ruled by the few who rule". I guess it's easier to say than to do. Plain and simple....when you don't stand up for something you fall for anything. That's just the plain truth.
