What about Yahoo?

Tags: yahoo google

OK, we'll admit it, we have a tendency to jump on the bandwagon as well. It seems these days that everyone is jumping on the Google bandwagon, breathlessly hanging on every word of each new press release that they put out.

Yahoo, once the industry leader, now looks like the forgotten man. Is it's future that of another AOL? Sure, Yahoo's share of the search market is significantly lower than Google's, and while Google's profits recently doubled, Yahoo's are dropping. But, there is hope for poor old Yahoo. It is still the most visited website on the Internet. It still has the highest level of traffic of any website out there. Yahoo provides its users with a wide variety of Web 2.0 mainstays (before there was a Web 2.0), such as valuable content, news (for example, Kevin Sites reports are extremely popular) and ineractive tools (IM, Yahoo Answers, etc.). Also, consider the fact that in our experience, we have found that with all the focus on Google, the costs of advertising and gaining clients on Yahoo is significantly cheaper than on Google in a variety of industries.

True, Yahoo does not have the reach of Google, from a search engine perspective. Also, it's true that Yahoo does not have the same quality of advertising solutions as Google's Adwords, but we believe that Yahoo is currently undervalued and due for a comeback.
