Matt Cutts, Google’s head of search spam, give answer about the guest Blogging in his latest video where a user writes question to ask:

I predict that in future Google will penalize guest blogging sites. Any insights on guest blogging as Spam?

Matt Cutts always answer this type of question on the assumption that guest posts are written by high quality and expert bloggers. He cleared that there are lots of low quality guest blogging sites publishing low quality content as guest blog.

If we use low quality guest blogging for gaining links without creating good quality content, then Matt Cutt says about it that we considered its safe but Google will take a closer look about low quality blogging.

Matt doesn’t advise to adopt guest blogging tactic for only way of gaining links, just as you shouldn’t rely on any singular tactic regardless of what it is.

If you are using same article on multiple blogs for Guest blogging, then it should also considered and Matt Cutt doesn’t recommend doing. It is same as spinning article. People who doing these type of things and abusing, Google watches these type of people and It takes appropriate action on them.
