The History of Google in a nutshell

Google started of small without any grand expectations, no body thought google was going to be a big deal. Excite turned down buying google in the early days for $750 000.

Google Search Algorithm became smart and people started to turn to google for better result, Marketers exploited google by selling ads and links to improve page rank.

Googles out smarts the blackhat seo technicians by penalizing expired and unrelated links.

Google creates adsense and cuts of most third party advertisers in their search results. Bring even more revenue to google.

Google implements even more animal like updates that takes down most of the content farms and directory site. Most websites organic traffic tumbles in massive numbers.

Ehow is however seemingly ineffective (why is that?)

People start thinking SEO is dead, but the SEO experts fight back and start focusing on on page seo tactics and specific backlink building through blog commenting and guest posing takes a rise to the top.

Googles animals attack again with the likes of penguin .

The battle forges on as SEO experts continue to try and outsmart the ever improving google search algorithm.

With every change new difficulties and opportunities arises. Can you predict the next and take advantage?

A word of caution: Don't rely solely on Google traffic to keep your site alive, you might just be attacked by an animal and end up as Collateral Damage.
