Bonus Trivia Answer: FALSE: The date shown on the Declaration of Independence is July 4, 1776 however Congress approved of the resolution on July 2, 1776. Sorry, I kind of tricked you with the wording. Another bit of interesting trivia is that most historians think the Declaration was actually signed on August 2nd, 1776, nearly a month after its adoption and not on July 4th as is commonly believed.
