If you really love your boyfriend, it's the worst thing you can imagine when he wants to break up with you. Most of us have suffered through a break up and were left bewildered and hurting, wondering what we did wrong. We may even have begged and pleaded for him to come back, only to be left with empty arms and an empty heart. This is because we don't know what a man really wants so we are unaware that we aren't providing him what he needs.

There is no relationship that can't be fixed. There are some that shouldn't be fixed-emotionally or physically abusive affairs, for example-but not that can't be saved.

First, realize that begging him to come back will have the opposite effect. He will run even faster and further! Men react to pressure by doing their best to get away from it. So how do you avoid driving him further away? Forget about him!

That's right, forget him. You deserve to be happy so go work on your own self esteem. Get together with some friends and distract yourself with a good movie or three, a day at the beach, party at some clubs or take a road trip. Have some fun! Your ex is going to hear about all this.

First, he'll feel relief that you aren't pursuing him. Soon afterward he'll wonder how you could forget about him so quickly and he'll begin to doubt himself and his power to attract and keep a woman. Then he'll start thinking about all the good times you had and will soon begin to miss you!

By turning the tables and switching places, being the one who is going on with your life instead of him, he'll realize that he isn't the prize he assumed he was and begin to doubt himself and the wisdom of throwing you away like last week's garbage. Most men are hard-wired to try to attain what they can't have and he'll soon begin to pursue you instead of the other way around!
