Where NOT to COMPROMISE when selecting a school!

Where do children spend most of their active hours? Where do they meet people outside home for the first time? Where do they learn most of the things about the world around them, apart from their parents?? It’s the holy institution that nurtures each one of us - Schools! Just how important then a part schools play in the lives of people? It is beyond one’s imagination. This impact can’t be measured but is definitely reflected in every aspect, every decision of one’s life. It therefore becomes very important for parents to understand what they should look for when selecting a School for their kids and what factors they should NOT compromise on!

In most cases parents know their child’s temperament, personality, qualities and unique needs better than anyone else. For example while a certain child might love outdoor activities, the parents should never go for a school that lacks in sports facilities. Another child might have a natural inclination towards fine arts and performing arts, then the parents should make sure that they select a school that provides creative platforms for self-expression and learning. And believe it or not, children exhibit their personality traits very early on – an attentive and perceptive parent can easily pick up these signs.

Never give undue importance to one school over the other only on the basis of its market reputation, fee structure, academics or distance from your home. Instead give some time to each school on the list and analyze it well to understand whether it is “the one” for your child or not! Parents need to understand one very essential fact that every child is different and they should not follow someone else’s decision blindly by ignoring the needs of their own child. Remember that if you compromise right now, then it might be too late to even regret in the future!
