With the Opensubtitles add-on you can download Subtitles for movies and TV shows. This add-ons is based on the popular OpenSubtitles.org which provides millions of subtitles in 75 languages with excellent quality. New subtitles are added daily even for the newest movies and TV shows.
Here are the instructions on how to install OpenSubtitles:
- Launch Kodi
- Click Add-ons
- Click the Add-on browser icon
- Click Install from repository
- Click Kodi Add-on repository
- Click Subtitles
- Click OpenSubtitles.org
- Click Install
- Wait till you see a Add-on installed message
Now the add-on is installed, but you still need to change the configuration in order to use it:
- Go back to the Kodi home page
- Click the Settings icon
- Click Player setting
- Hover over Languages
- Click Preferred subtitle language and select the language you need
- Click Character set and select the language you need
- Click Languages to download subtitles and select the language you need
- Click Default TV show service and select OpenSubtitles.org by OpenSubtitles
- Click Default movies service and select OpenSubtitles.org by OpenSubtitles
Last thing, in order to see the subtitles when you watch a movies or TV show, do the following:
- Pause what you are watching and click the Subtitles icon
- Click Download
- Select the subtitles source
