I beg to disagree, with VP. Nobody can Limit God or compartmentalise Him – Doyin Okupe Reacts to Osinbajo’s tweets. Former senior special assistant to former President Jonathan (public affairs), Doyin Okupe has faulted acting president Yemi Osinbajo over his statement that fasting and prayer are not enough in nation building.

Okupe in a series of tweets said, “I beg to disagree, with VP. Nobody can limit God or compartmentalise Him.

“No matter how much you pray and fast, our country cannot grow without some of us deciding to do the hard work that makes nation’s work,” Osinbajo had said while speaking to mid-level civil servants on Wednesday.

Responding to this, Okupe in series of tweets disagreed with Prof. Osinbajo, insisting that God cannot be compartmentalised.

He said, “I beg to disagree with VP. Yes, there is no substitute for hard work but that alone can’t make a Nation great. But God, fasting & prayer certainly will.

“We can neither limit the extent of God’s power nor can we compartmentalise his area of influence. God is sovereign. He can do any and all things

“I am sorry the VP is wrong. Nobody can limit God or compartmentalise Him. He won a war for Jehoshaphat without his army lifting a finger.

“Jehoshaphat’s army did not have to fights. They did not lift a finger. God fought their battles. They did not have to lift a finger yet had victory”
