3 Ocean Liners still offer World Cruises

There is no better way to travel the World than on a luxury Cruise Liner. You only have to pack you clothes once. You don't have to check in and out of hotels. You don't have to get a taxi to and from the hotels. You don't have to wait in line at airports that take up the whole day to travel from one location to another. You don't have to worry about security. Your tours at each city are already planned out for you and you can eat the local food or the food on the ship if you are worried about problems with your diet or your reaction to foreign food.

More and more people are visiting the best cities around the World via luxury Cruise Liners for all the reasons listed above as well as the best reason....the COST. It is so much cheaper to travel the World and see all the wonderful sites via a Cruise Ship than flying to each city and staying at hotels. You still get the chance to take in all the local culture as most ships arrive at the destination port in the early morning and don't leave until dark. Sometimes the ship will stay in port for 2 or 3 days so that you can see everything including the night life.

Cunard's QE2 has been doing Round the World cruises for many years and has it down perfectly. The QE2 leaves New York City in Jan. each year for a 109 day World Cruise that takes the passenger to 42 different ports in 27 countries including the Panama Canal, across the South Pacific to New Zealand and Australia, through the Far East to India, Arabia and Europe, then crosses the North Atlantic from England and returns to New York City. Fares start at $34,000 which works out to $312 per day per person.

P&O Cruises will sail you Round the World in 80 days starting in Jan. from Southampton, England on the 1,870 passenger Aurora. The cruise takes in 25 ports of call including Pago Pago, Fiji, Auckland and several calls in Australia. In Asia, discover Bangkok, Kuala Lumjpur, Penang and Sri Lanka. Then head to India and Egypt, transit the Suez Canal and eventually lay at anchor in the Mediterranean for Athens and Rome before sailing back to Southampton. Fares start at $14,550 which works out to $182 per day per person.

And Radisson Seven Seas Cruises uses it's 700 passenger Seven Seas Voyager will all-suite, all-balcony accomodations for it's 109 day Round the World cruise leaving in Jan. Start in Los Angeles to Sydney and then on to 45 ports in 28 countries. Fares start at $50,000 which includes round-trip first-class air from North American and a $2,000 onboard credit. This works out to $ 459 per day per person.

All three ships offer shorter segments as short as 14 days so that you do not need to take the entire cruise if desired. Fares vary for each shorter segment.
