Dubai’s Must-Visit Parks

Tags: park

Believe it or not, Dubai is home to an abundance of beautiful parks. So, not only is it one of the world’s best shopping cities and renowned for its spectacular architecture, the city doesn’t lack in stunning green spaces either! Discover Dubai’s best loved parks and gardens here:

Creek Park

Located in the heart of old Dubai, between Al Maktoum Bridge and Al Garhoud Bridge, is Creek Park. However, it’s not just any old park. As well as boasting 96 hectares of lush lawns, flower gardens, sculpted mazes and nature trails, Creek Park is also home to the Dubai Dolphinarium and Children’s City play room.

Sounds pretty special doesn’t it? Well, that’s because it is. And to top it all off, the park also has a cable car ride too, so you can take in views of the city whilst 30m up in the air.

Zabeel Park

Who would have thought that you could access Wi-Fi at a park? Only in Dubai, hey. With Smart Palm trees installed, that pump out a free connection, Zabeel Park is the first in the city to be technology based. Therefore, this green haven is a must-visit.

However, other than Smart Palm trees, the park also has 10,000 real trees! And flocks of parakeets have made this beautifully landscaped park their home.

Zabeel Park also hosts activities, including mini golf and a cricket pitch, as well as various tracks. Plus, The Ripe Food and Craft Market makes an appearance at this park every Friday! Be sure to turn up to Gate 2 to find a selection of goodies worth haggling for. This 47.5 hectare iconic park is full of fun.

Safa Park

Safa Park opened in 1975, making it one of the oldest parks in Dubai. The 64 hectare landmark is extremely popular, what with it being home to picnic and barbeque areas, as well as three lakes, an outdoor ice rink and a jogging track! Safa Park has got everything you could want in a park, and more. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the extensive range of facilities available at this pretty park.

Plus, on the first Saturday of each month between October and May, Safa Park hosts The Dubai Flea Market. If you’re lucky enough to be visiting Dubai during these months, it’s well worth heading along to the park’s most popular event to see what treasures you can find.

Mushrif Park

This huge desert park not only offers a range of activities and facilities, including camel and horse riding, it’s renowned for being the best birdwatching park in Dubai. So, if you’re a nature lover, Mushrif Park will be your idea of heaven.

The 125 hectare park also has a fascinating feature: the International Garden Area. This exhibits models of miniature houses from all over the world. Now that’s far from being your average park!

Mushrif Park is like no other; it’s full of surprises and it’s the only park in Dubai that’s big enough to drive through! Be sure to give it a visit.
