Dream Guesthouse Myeongdong is one of the places that you can consider to stay in if you are on a budget travel and looking to shop in Namdaemun market. Here are the pros and cons on why you can consider this guesthouse.

Pros

• The guesthouse is located in a very good location and at the core of Seoul
• The guesthouse is just walking distance from Myeongdong main street
• The location and vicinity around the guesthouse made guests felt safe
• The guesthouse is also near to the bus stop to Incheon Airport
• It is only 3 minutes’ walk to Hoehyeon train station
• The guesthouse is also just walking distance to Namdaemun market
• It is also very close to Namdaemun which is an intersection to get to anywhere
• The front desk staffs are nice, helpful, friendly and well-mannered
• Some of the front desk staffs can speak decent English
• The front desk staffs can also advise and recommend you on where to go
• There are good internet facilities within the guesthouse
• You are also allowed to cook your own meal in the pantry provided
• Free breakfast at 8AM with generous supply of toasts, jam, juice and you can also make your own egg
• The rooms are very clean and value for money
• Some guests found the air-conditioner unit to be great
• Shampoo and soap is provided in the bathroom so you don’t have to bring your own
• Certain guests found the bed and linen to be very comfortable
• Each bed comes with lamp, power socket and blackout curtains for personal use
• There are also adapters at the reception for you to use if you forgot to bring your Korean sockets
• They provide hair dryers, laundry service and lockers at the reception and in the rooms
• Water dispenser along with free supply of coffee and tea can be found on every floor
• There is also an elevator despite the guesthouse being a low rise building
• The guesthouse also have ultra-large carrier storage and this facility can be accessed by contacting the front desk staff at the counter
• Post office and shipping company for air and sea are also located 10 meters away from the guesthouse if you need to post something

Cons

• The guesthouse is difficult to locate for some guests while other guests found it easy

• Certain guests expressed that a GPS is needed to locate the guesthouse without getting lost

• If you are travelling with children and/or elderly people, be warned that you will have to walk up the slope to reach the guesthouse

• No prayer rooms for Muslims

• Certain guests had bad experience with some of the other disrespectful and rowdy guests

• You cannot make special request for breakfast to be served earlier and certain guests said breakfast is served too late and they prefer to have it earlier

• The rooms are very small

• Certain guests found the beds to be uncomfortable

• The walls in the room are paper thin

• The heater may take some time to warm up the water
