State of Decay 2 topped game sales
Sony’s PS4 once again topped new hardware sales, taking the top position for the month and retaining its position as the best-selling console of 2018 so far.
State of Decay 2 took the top spot in software sales, beating out PS4 exclusives God of War and Detroit: Become Human.
The PlayStation was the best-selling hardware platform, while the Nintendo Switch with neon red and blue Joy-con was the best selling SKU.
While PS4 came out on top, May was an enormously successful month for all three consoles, with PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch hitting “all-time unit sales highs for a May month.” May 2018 had the highest May-hardware sales numbers since 2011.

Grand Theft Auto 5 refuses to move from the top 10 best selling game list each month. During its last financial call, Take-Two Interactive revealed Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold 95 million copies over its lifetime.
