Making the virtual into a reality.
If you’ve ever wished you could hold a keepsake of your favorite Gaming moment in your hands, Mixed Dimensions GamePrint service is definitely for you.
MixedDimensions is working with companies like Ubisoft and Gearbox to create 12-inch, 3D printed models “hand-painted by master artisans and delivered straight to gamers’ doors.”
There are more than just scenes to capture, as well. According to Mixed Dimensions, you can have “characters, items, vehicles” printed by either visiting a publisher’s store or accessing GamePrint “in-game.”
“The creation of our GamePrint solution was fueled by our team’s desire to build a bridge between our favorite digital gaming worlds and the real world. We believe gamers will delight in the opportunity to create, capture and order prints of their favorite gameplay moments, characters and vehicles beginning with Assassin’s Creed Origins this month and Star Trek Online next month,” said Mo Taslaq, CEO, Mixed Dimensions.
Star Trek Online players can upload and have their custom ships “beginning Q1 ’18,” and Assassin’s Creed Origins players can start ordering “statues and collectibles” in the same window. Other collectibles for Warframe and Bard’s Tale IV are coming this year, as well.
If you’re looking to dip your toes into the world of 3D printing, we put together a list of the best 3D printers you can buy right now.
