Overwatch Pacific Championship 2017 Announced

Blizzard has announced the formation of the Overwatch Pacific Championship, a professional eSports league based in Taipei.

OPC’s first season kicks off 8th of April (AEST/NZST) with eight pro teams – Australia’s Blank Esports, Hong Kong’s Hong Kong Attitude, Japan’s SunSister and DeToNator GOLD, Taiwan’s Machi Esports, ahq eSports Club, and Flash Wolves, and Thailand’s FireBall fighting it out for roughly NTD$8.3 million (Approx. $357,000 AUD). The competition will take place over an 11-week season, and the top three teams will advance to the playoffs. All matches will be streamed live via goblizzard.tw/esports/live each week from Friday through to Sunday (AEST/NZST).

In other Overwatch news, Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan recently took to Reddit to reveal a number of upcoming changes to the game.
