-Fact: The Media Likes to Make Christians and The Bible Look Crazy

End of The World

From the Washington Post: The man whose biblical doomsday claim has some nervously eyeing Sept. 23

Response:

I didn’t plan on dignifying this ridiculous claim or give this nut additional publicity for his website and books. But since it is all over the Internet and it has been picked up by the major Media including the Washington Post, USA Today, papers in the UK, and even Fox News. Here is my take:

Fact: The world is not ending tomorrow.

Fact: This prediction has nothing to do with the Bible or Christians.

Fact: Jesus said that he didn’t even know the day or the hour so what are the chances that this guy knows better? (Matt. 24:36)

Fact: The Media Likes to make Christians and the Bible look crazy. Otherwise how can you explain how this guy with absolutely no confirmed academic, scientific, or Christian credentials received any attention at all?

Fact: No Christian leader or real Bible scholar supports this claim. Quite the opposite. See:

“No, the World Won’t End Next Week and There’s No Such Thing as a Christian Numerologist”

and

“Sorry to Tell You, But Jesus Is Not Returning on September 23”
