At Christmas time we hear about the angel coming to the shepherds watching their flocks at night near Bethlehem. The angel appeared first to announce the birth of Jesus. There was also a sudden appearance of a choir of angels singing the well-known words in our verse today. This song is announced some of the results from the coming of Jesus to earth. The birth of Jesus did bring glory to God because of the changes it brings in the lives of people who believe in Jesus as their Savior. This song also promises peace to people who God is pleased with because they believe in Jesus and peace is one of the changes His coming brought about. So when we hear about the song of the angels there near Bethlehem let it remind us to think about the peace Jesus has brought in our own lives. Then, let's thank Him for the peace reigning in our hearts and let's give God the Glory by praising Him just as the angels did. Friends, He is worthy of all the praise we can give.
