“When He entered the house, the Blind Men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.”” Matthew 9:28-29 (NASB)
When Jesus was present and walking on earth as a man, He showed how important it is to believe in the power of God to meet our needs. In the Gospel of Matthew two blind men came to Jesus to be healed of their blindness. Jesus asked them a question, “Do you believe I am able to do this?” Their answer was, “Yes, Lord.” When Jesus heard their answer which showed their faith, we read next that Jesus touched their eyes and said, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.” The result was that their sight was restored. These words of the Lord apply to each of us today. God is still looking to see if we believe that He is able to meet our needs. He is looking for faith in our requests and He acts in response to our faith. Let's affirm today that we believe in His power and we will see that He will do according to our faith.
