Autumn Equinox Celebration at the Paracelsus Centre – A Day of Peace

Like in previous years, we met again at the Paracelsus Centre to celebrate autumn equinox. The four festivals of equinoxes and the solstices form the great cardinal cross of the year. They are points of transition in the movement of energies which you can clearly feel if you align to them in a contemplative attitude. They are like portals in time which allow you to move inward more easily. The equinoxes are times of balance and represent the yogic consciousness.

Interestingly, the International Day of Peace (Peace Day) is held annually at Libra equinox on September 21st. Established in 1981 by unanimous United Nations resolution, the Peace Day now reaches hundreds of millions of people to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.

Although we were just a small group, we aligned with all groups celebrating the equinox and the spirit of peace all around the globe. Here are some impressions of our celebration.
