He kept his word!

"and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is pointless and you have not, after all, been released from your sins. In addition, those who have fallen asleep in Christ are utterly lost. If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are of all people the most pitiable. In fact, however, Christ has been raised from the dead, as the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep. As it was by one man that death came, so through one man has come the resurrection of the dead. Just as all die in Adam, so in Christ all will be brought to life" 1 Corinthians 15 17-22

Today is a celebration of Jesus fulfilling his promise. He had told the disciples everything that was written  about him in the law of Moses and in the prophets and psalms must be fulfilled. He had to suffer death, be buried and rise again, and to their surprise he did just that! Thanks be to God. They were all shocked when they got to the tomb and he was gone! But then I think about if I were there.. would I too be shocked? The answer probably would be yes. I mean I could tell you the sky is blue but had you never seen the sky you might not believe until you saw. They saw alright!

I think it is mind blowing and can not even imagine what it would have been like to be there. If today I am still in awe of the occurrences of the week, imagine what they felt living it! Shock, fear, amazement, bewilderment?  I would probably be a nut case. I would be like Dude where is Jesus? Glad God made me when he did!

So Msgr's homilies this weekend were about us being Easter people in a world of Good Friday. Amongst all the the bad we must look at the good. Know Sunday will always come and Jesus will always be there. To know he fulfilled his promise to us!

I am sad holy week is almost over, I enjoy being part of such an amazing week. I am so blessed by the gifts God has given me. To be able to give Jesus to the people is a feeling I can not even describe, to watch the Girls become Catholic was beautiful! To walk in the sufferings of Christ was a must, and to realize how lucky I am to belong to such an amazing Parish!

Thank you God for this week, for giving your only son over to death, and for the amazing people you have brought into my life. I pray that "Little Faith" gets her chance soon because she deserves it more then anyone! For My sista, that she sees how amazing she is and what a blessing she is to this world. I pray that the Princess sees it is alright to question and she is still loved ALWAYS, I pray as always that Msgr, Father, Da, and Fantastic always keep in mind that Katie will always be Katie, and in some strange messed up way it's a good thing! I pray for all of them and all the rest that have touched my life, those here and those that have passed. My God's Light shine on them and may he always hold them in the palm of his hand! AMEN
